Truth Tellers Live

Virtual Community Small Group

  • 1:00-2:30pm CST – Thursdays
  • Sept. 8, 15, 22, 29, Oct. 6, 13, 27, Nov. 10, 17, Dec. 1, 8, 15 (NO CLASS: Oct. 20, Nov. 3, 24)
  • 12 weeks
  • $215

What we will do:

  • Ease into our writing mind with a visual or relaxation exercise
  • Listen and take in poem while we let our minds wander
  • Write for 8-12 minutes, pen never leaving the page
  • Take turns sharing our writing aloud and listening without judgement
  • Repeat for 3 total poems
  • Closing exercise before reentry into life

This group is for you if:

  • you want to write and connect with other women
  • you can commit to the class time
  • you feel uncomfortable with the idea of sharing your writing but you are going to be brave and do it anyways

What you will do:

  • Watch the video sent via email – it will be me reading a poem and giving you jump off lines
  • Relax while you listen to me read a poem
  • Set a timer for yourself and write for 12-15 minutes, pen never leaving the page
  • You will do this twice per week on your own – whenever it works for you in your busy life!

This group is for you if:

  • you want to try this writing on your own before being in community with others
  • you are too damn busy being a mom taxi, running a family or building a career, to commit to a live class
